Lately there's been a sickness going around in Mesa. So far I know 7 people, as of just today, who are now sick. Anyone know what's going around. 5 of 7 are on my cross-country team, is it something in the air?

Any virus or other bug travels around a school very easily. Not just airborne in close quarters, but on doorknobs, desk and table tops, and anywhere else where people congregate.

Well I know that, but I want to know what it is and how it will affect my preformance. Last year at about this time I think I got the swine flu, I had all the symptoms of it and I never got a shot for it, and it took me out for a few days.

Due to the little bit of humidity you have here, seems like many are sneezing here with cold-like symptoms. I got it, also, but it seems relatively mild form of a cold with alot of aching joints and the sniffles. Nobody seems to be so sick they stay home. Just what I've seen.

They have seem to be coming earlier, maybe it's just me. I had something go through the house with the kids and I but it was mild and I couldn't figure out where all the fatigue was coming from. It seemed to cause some strange symptoms, more aches and fatigue than stuffies and cough. But we all had it so I figured it must be a virus of some sort.
I'm just not looking forward to another freak flu or the dreaded stomach virus. Ug, had my full last year for sure.

Yeah I noticed this, with most sick people at school. Last year when I got very sick I ran 4 miles with a temperature of 102 degrees on a 96 degree day. It was the worst thing imaginable to run with. Hopefully with me being more catious I won't catch it. Although I can never avoid a winter cold.

The weather is changing, what do you expect? This happens every few months.
