Hi, I'm looking to buy a house in this area. How safe is it? Any feedback or experience? Thanks!

It's okay, safety-wise. Good luck!

Like so many areas of metro Phoenix there are good and bad neighborhoods within an area. I personally don’t think there is anything wrong with that locate from what I remember. However which neighborhood in that area can make you happy or not.

I don’t know much about the school system for that area but maybe someone can fill you in on if it’s a good one or not. As for shopping, you’ll be close to freeway access to go just about anyplace you’d like, that’s a plus.

That is Paradise Valley. Like mentioned above, there are good and bad areas.

"Paradise Valley" is a loosely used term to describe a pretty wide area, including areas miles from where the OP is asking about (we aren't talking about the Town of Paradise Valley, just so no one is confused) Yes, in that wide area, there are some not so good areas.

To the OP... generally, the area you are asking about is an OK area. You can tell a lot by driving around the specific neighborhood you are looking at, as things can vary in a short distance (and that's true all over town).

Union Hills and the 51 is not, by any stretch of imagination, Paradise Valley. Not the town itself, nor the area surrounding it, nor the general vicinity. Having said that, I agree with the other posters who say it's generally a safe area, provided you look carefully at your particular location. Phoenix is a city with pockets of bad near the good.

It's likely Paradise Valley schools - probably across the street from "Paradise Valley Community College", "Paradise Valley Golf Course", and Paradise Valley Park"...

- which I think might be part of the confusion.

One could forgive a "newcomer" for making such a "mistake"....

If Queen Creek & Goodyear = Phoenix, then North Central Phoenix = PV. (my vote!)

I'd agree with the other posters, generally a pretty nice area, and very convenient if you have to run downtown or to the airport.

Yes, it might be PV school district, but the community college is on 32nd Street, not anywhere near Union Hills. The o/p is just wrong.

^^This is incorrect. PV Community College is at the south-east corner of 32nd Street and Union Hills. I live in the neighborhood and know it well.

The area in question is what I call very nice and family friendly. There are some trailer parks off 32nd Street just sound of Beardsley and they have some problems there (according to crime stats for the area).

Overall, I enjoy living there and find it very safe.
