Greetings everyone, Thanks for posting on this forum. I found lots of useful information from the post in the past. I need help with with my move. I am coming for 2 years to Phoenix, with my family. I visited Phoenix just once, for job interview.
I am going to work close to Indian School/Central.
Please let U know if U have suggestions regarding
- elementary schools in this area
- gyms with water aerobic classes nearby
- good places to rent 2bedroom apt

I've been trying to find info in the internet, so far I have positive impressions regarding:
- Arizona Academy of Science
- Hawthorne on 3rd Ave- apts
- Camden Copper square
- The Lexington on Central

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
Thanks

Central Park Square Athletic Club has an indoor pool. I don't know about their classes now, I was a member years ago. Nice people there.

Thanks, I looked up this gym online, it looks like what my family needs. When I searched for condos in this area Camden is coming up. Any thoughts?

That area (Hawthorne and Lexington) is in the Osborn Elementary School District, not one of the better districts. I would investigate Madison Elementary School District just north of there, which is considered by many to be a much better district. There are a lot of people in the Osborn District that send their kids to Madison schools. You would have to supply your own transportation. Actually Camden at Copper Square is in Phoenix Elementary District, but the same comments would apply, perhaps a little moreso.

Thanks for the school info. i am a bit shy if it comes to public school, now my son goes to Montessori School and we are very happy with it. I will not be able to afford private school any more, what is your opinion re: charter schools? I am completely new to this concept. We live in Califronia now.
I really appreciate all posts, those are very helpfull. Thanks guys.

Any properties managed by Camden or Mark-Taylor will be very well maintained. They're both great companies. Sorry, but I don't know anything about schools or school distrcits. Welcome to Phoenix!

You may also want to consider Roosevelt Square at Portland and Central.
