Hello everyone!

My family and I are looking to relocate to the Phoenix area. We are looking for advice as to what areas are good to move into? What areas should we avoid? Are there certain streets to avoid?

I have two children as well. I have been told that as long as I am involved in the school, the schools don't really matter...what do you all think? Are there good school districts to live near?

Thank you so much for your help!

We definitely need some more info to go on here.

Will you be working or will your spouse/SO? If so, where? You don't want to live in Surprise and work in Chandler.

What other features are you looking for in your community?

School quality absolutely varies by district.

My husband works from home. So it isn't an issue of living near work. Makes it a lot easier!

I just want a safe place for our family to be and would like to know the school districts that are good so that we can place ourselves near them.

There are many good (and some bad) areas/districts in the east valley (Scottsdale, Tempe, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler and more) and several in the west valley (Peoria, Glendale, and more). Good schools and good, safe neighborhoods can be found throughout the metro area. It is a huge area and can be very diverse. Scottsdale or Paradise Valley are consistently well above normal but are expensive. What other criteria is important to you? Best regards.

Congratulations on your move, I lived there 5 years and took a job in California over the summer and hate it here. My goal is to be back in Arizona by January. I miss the sunshine, the people, everything. Good luck, when I move back I am going to Chandler.
