The insurance adjuster just quoted us on my wife's ford ranger this morning. He say's the roof and hood need to be replaced.
Can anybody recommend a body shop in the West Valley that has a reasonable turn around time? She can only afford to be without her truck for 2 days.

I don't know that you can get body work and paint done in two days anywhere, even if the parts are ordered in advance and sitting there ready to go, and do any kind of a decent job. If your insurance won't pay for a rental, you might still be stuck with getting one for a day or two.

If the insurance is paying then go to a dealership, they might offer you a loaner car.

Correct.
This is the second time her truck has seen hail damage. The first time was on 07 while we were in Iraq, Minnesota got massive hail. Dunno why they want to replace the panels this time

the roof and hood are too flexible for any type of body filler to stick well. Be very careful who you pick to do the work, and expect to give them at least a week to do the work.

I also got hail damage on my truck. I have my insurance "drive thru" on Monday.

We did as well, they're going to use the paintless dent removal procedure on the hood,roof and doors. I'm told some insurance companies brought out experts from other states that have this happen all the time to train the local shops on some new equipment that pretty much sucks the dents out with a big suction cup type thing. While I think I'd rather have the doors and such replaced the roof is another matter since they'd have to cut it off and re-weld it back on. Sounds to me like a shop is trying to gouge your insurance.

The insurance adjuster is looking at a "flat rate manual" that shows something to the effect of it taking xx hours to replace a roof panel, and xx hours to repair
each dent. When you add all of the little dents together, you get a total that makes the roof panel replacement
look cheaper than the repair of the dents.
FWIW, In my former occupation as a manufacturer's rep, I would not
allow my own dealers to replace roof panels under warranty. There aren't many shops qualified to pull off such an extensive replacement without future service issues. Things like windshields leaking, wind noise complaints, etc.
The hood is another matter, I'd insist on a
Ford hood though. Nobody else's replacement parts are going to fit as well.
