I'm planning on leaving here in about 2 hours, but I'd like to take a little day trip somewhere that has the changed leaves. I don't know if I'm already too late for that or not, but I'm hoping there's somewhere?

If not, where's a good place at a 2-hour maximum of Phoenix to go and visit for a couple hours? Payson area/Sedona area/Prescott area? I've been to all 3 before, but I'd like to take someone, and show some nice scenery.

Thanks all!!!

Your kind of late for up north, but you might see some fall color in the sycamore/cottonwoods in the mid-elevation riparian (stream) areas. A good trip would be to Montezuma Castle National Monument. There is a prehistoric cliff dwelling there along a nice stream with huge, old trees. It is a short distance north of Camp Verde off I17.

Alright, thank you Ponderosa! I appreciate it. I actually heard really cool things about that national monument.

We were in Sedona last weekend. The trees in town are still turning, but if you go up Oak Creek Canyon they are past their peak.
