from my 1946 house. I was digging on a water line, about 24 inches deep. Is it medicine, or a small bottle of liquor? Before my time.

BTW, if his back hurt after putting it in, as much as mine hurt after digging it up, it was probably medicine.

nitram, ironically it's about 200 yards from the VA Hospital. Maybe they had trouble with the supply cabinets back then, too. BTW, It is now listed on grEedBAY.

Similar bottle to the one I found in my Grandparents' barn......still had some of the label on it.

cough syrup laced with codeine.

What the heck was it doing in the barn?

I dunno.

People do collect bottles. Most are worth nothing but some are worth alot. Have a look on google and see if you can identify it.

EDIT: does it have any stamps or identifying marks?
