First off let me say I'm not advertising this event, just a schmoe looking for fairly inexpensive things to do and ran across a funny (clean) video of it.

I went to this BBQ competition last year and it was great! It's in Scottsdale, not expensive and you can get all the BBQ you can eat. I'm all into less expensive ways to spend a whole day with the family and the upside is I picked up a bunch of tips on how to cook better BBQ.
I ran into this video on youtube yesterday talking about it.

Dang! $20k would buy me a lot of pork ribs lol =) Too bad the BBQ is the day we unload our truck from our move to AZ! Maybe no one will notice if I disappear for a few hours.....

Looks like they added a beer tent and a bourbon tent as well. Hmmm, beer & BBQ, then Ice Cream for desert spells great day!

jimj - how does it work for actually tasting some BBQ?

Do you get a limited # of tastings with admission and the ability to buy more?

That seems to be somewhat unclear .... I see the bourbon is 10 tasting for $10 which is a great deal (even for thimble sipper tastes)
