Does anyone know about an alleged Mexican flag flying on a cell tower in Casa Grande? I just saw a post on one of the news stations FaceBook page. It wasn't the station making the post it was a viewer..Anyone else aware of this or have seen it? If this is true it needs to come down. IMHO This isn't a flag flying on someones house to show heritage...it is a beacon to all the illegals and drug smugglers comig thru the Casa Grande corridor. Besides isn't it illegal for a freestanding flag other then the Stars and Stripes to be flown on American soil??? Agree? Disagree? Thoughts?

I've seen numerous Irish, English, British, Canadian, French, Italian, Norwegian, and [insert country] flags flying by themselves over restaurants and bars. If I was the owner would I place a US flag with it in it's proper position? Maybe.

Isn't this story a couple yrs. old and about the grand opening of some Mexican restaurant?

The only one I object to is the Confederate Flag because it salutes Treason

Answers: No this is not a "couple years old" It's current. It's also NOT in Casa Grande, as I understand it's on a cell phone tower in Maricopa. Owner of tower doesn't know how it got there and is going to have it removed. I'm guessing someone Trespassed on the property to put the flag there just as they have trespassed into Arizona.

Could just as easily be some wingnut put it up there to get the faithful worked up. Either way, it's a good prank.

In Chicago there are many Polish freestanding flags due to huge Polish population. I've never met anybody complaining about it. But Mexican flag is 'special' because there are millions of illegal Mexicans in this country.

They did at one time. They still have jokes that ridicule them. They have ethnic neighborhoods (aka segregation) too. Every immigrant group was looked on with scorn.

I agree, it's nothing more than a prank and has got some people all worked up over nothing. At least it's not the Nazi swastika flag and those hate groups that put it up there!

There are more Poles in Chicago than the entire population of Warsaw. Do you suppose they all came here legally? My great-grandmother was married to a man who was an illegal from Hungary. It happens in all ethnic groups, not just Mexicans.
