"Threaten you" with what? Actually, it is the smaller scorpions that have the more problematic stings. Small or large, they are not as widespread an issue as forums like this invariably make them sound.

What are the statistics on Scorpions in the valley? I've never checked it out. Seems like you know.
I'm so use to them now, been stung several times and thought everyone just dealt with em.
Makes me curious now seeing some people who haven't seen one in years living here. About what percentage of the valley has them?

I don't think there are statistics on that. All I am going by is my own experience of over 50 years here, that of my family and friends over that time, and the experiences of others reported here. There are people like you who "just deal with them" and others like me that have never really had to.

When I move to Phoenix I was looking at one of the historic districts to move into. I planned on citrus trees and doing some gardening. So is this to say that with the gardening and the trees scorpions will be much more likely to be around?

No. Scorpions are not attracted to vegetables, flowers, or trees.

I live in one of the historic districts and have not seen one here. To echo what others have said, we have lived in Phoenix for 31 years and have encountered only one (it was in NE Phoenix at a previous home).
