I read the earlier thread from 2007 or 08. Has anything changed? Can you still use a cell phone driving?

Also is there a smoking ban in public buildings?

These are the 2 things we love about our current City. We can go to any restaurant/bar/public building and there is no smoking inside.
We also have to use a hands free device while driving.

Thanks!

No smoking in public buildings in Arizona.

Still legal to talk on handheld cellphones, except for bus drivers. There is legislation to change this in 2011, but I don't think the legislature has voted yet.

This LINK will give you a list of everywhere where it is illegal to use a handheld device while driving (note this is not the same thing has talking on the phone while driving.)

This LINK will give you the current status of the laws in Arizona, as well as the information about the proposed legislation.
