Hello my future neighbours, we are moving from DE to AZ and looking for some good neighbourhoods to buy a home for our family. I have a 14 year old that will be attending high school so near a good school is also import as is the comute to Luke AFB. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Litchfield Park is the closest to Luke AFB, and Goodyear is just to the south.

Here's a link for Litchfield school district:

The high school district is Agua Fria Agua Fria Union High School District - Agua Fria Union High School District Home, LESD is only K-8.

I would recommend living in the boundaries of Verrado or Millenium high schools in Agua Fria. Just north of Luke is Dysart district and I have heard mixed about it. Further away is Peoria https://www.peoriaud.k12.az.us/Pages/Default.aspx and some of their schools are good too. Estrella

I would check out GreatSchools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community

In terms of the neighborhood feeding into the schools, Goodyear (north of I-10), Litchfield Park and northern Buckeye (Verrado) are all solid.

I would definitely try to land within the Millenium zoning if possible or go a bit further down to estrella .... millenium would be closer, estrella more secluded - but very nice and still reachable

i'd also say most of goodyear is solid

I live in Goodyear which is close to Luke AFB. The three schools you want to be near are Millennium HS in Goodyear, Estrella Foothills HS in Goodyear or Verado HS in Buckeye. My son goes to Verado HS and although not as good as the other two mentioned it's not a bad school and we are overall satisfied with his experience.
