I just recently purchased a new "Variable speed" Intelliflow pool pump. SRP has a rebate currently of $200 if you buy one to lower your electricity usuage.
I have had it for just over a month now, and the first month, July bill, was about $35 lower that July of last year. Every month this year up to July my bill has been a little higher than last year, so the sharp decrease in July looks good so far.
Our home is 1661 sq.ft. single story with a pool of course and last months bill was $204. The bill for July in 2010 was $239.
Pump seems to be doing a good job. Pool is clean and water is circulating well. SRP sent a guy out to set everything up at the proper speeds.
So, I am sure there are others out there with the new pump. Is this about average or what should I expect?
