I hear ya about fake reviews...Thats why I just check out the bad reviews, which I suppose could also be fake, written by the jealous competition. I like RS Mattress for Mattress sets, Roomstore for Bedroom sets they have this crazy coupon thing that really kills the other stores like Mor, they have stuff in stock, unlike Ashly, LaZboy for Recliners (although they are expensive) Spencers for Appliances, as they will give killer deals if you bundle. Also, they have been able to redeliver appliances same day when its MY mistake. I have several furnished rentals. Ive been at this shopping for good deals for quite some time. Sometime its the sales people, and sometime its the business. Anybody who would like some great, but laid back sales people (who love to discount, and I know them all) give me an email here, Ill give you the list. Back to Mattress sets. RS has the stuff right there, so you know you get the one you try out. Every other store I have been to was filled with 20 year old pushy dudes with those chalk board scrachingly annoying canned sales pitches. Bedmart had nice sales people too, but just to pricey.

It's hard to judge a store by it's reviews. the odds are if it has no or very few reviews it's a good place.

If you satisfy 100 customers very few of them will take the time to write a review. Tick off 100 customers and a lot of them will take the time to write a review.

Don't know if you have any interest in used, but we had fun shopping at the Shabby Shack and Tanaka Gallery in Mesa.

I am on my second couch from Mor. I can't attest to their financing options as I paid cash for both and was happy with both couches.

A lot of people have varying opinions of IKEA, but I've bought a lot of furniture there. I find it sturdy and easy to assemble and I like the way it looks. Most importanly, it is reasonably priced. I still have IKEA furniture from when I was in college in California (18 years ago) and it has stood the test of time.

For mattresses, I'd go to Costco. If you find better deals at Costco online, go for it. I bought my mattress at The Room Store and got ripped off. Never again.

Thanks to everyone for their responses....

I would love to do the auction, but not sure we will have time (only 4 days to furnish the house) and would prefer to buy from somewhere with delivery (save us from having to rent a u-haul to pick everything up).
