I've got the HD tv's - where I rent I use Cox.... but don't really like how they double charged without me knowing - when I found out - they only made good on a few of the months of double charges - not all. They also want to charge hefty fee for transfering service to new place - ridiculous - when they advertise they'll move you for free.

I had Cox for years and after dealing with all their BS made the switch to Directv. My picture quality improved ten fold and when i switch directv have a lot more HD channels. I keep cox for high speed internet and who needs a house phone so I dont bundle.

Switched from Cox after dealing with problems that Cox could/would never fix. Directv has a much better picture and very happy with them.

I have direct tv because I can take my receivers when I go up north and get tv at my place there. Otherwise, I would have Cox because the bundled service is the most economical and Cox has more local channels like 24/7 news and weather, additional PBS feeds. One thing with Cox is that if you do have problems you are on your own. Their service is just awful - long waits for techs who don't ever really fix things.

Nice if you can get it. There are many parts of the valley that are in the "shadow" of a mountain and can't get local signals at all. I live in one of those parts, in a bowl north of Ludden Mountain, south of Pyramid Peak, West of Deem Hill, East of West Wing. Can't even get cell service at home. However, with a $80 booster antenna from Radio Shack pointed in the right direction, we get all Phoenix HD plus a few Tucson HD channels.

You can also get fax service through the internet. Fax's come to your email. All you would need is a scanner to fax printed documents. There are several on-line fax service providers.

Yes, but you get nothing but crappy channels. Cox HD has approximately 225 channels as opposed to what like 10 on air?

You will still have to go with Cox for internet if you want it to be fast and reliable. Whatever you do, stay away from satellite internet as it is not good.
