We just bought a spec home from Fulton Homes, which should be completed in September.

I was wondering, does anyone have an idea of the quality of Fulton? Looking on Google, all the reviews seem good. Our realtor highly recommended them. It seems the best part about Fulton is their high Energy Star ratings.

However, does anyone have their own opinions?

Just an opinion. Owned a Fulton Home. Found it above average with very few problems. Even the minor issues were handled promptly.

What's the lot size/location? I would say they have a better rep than Beazer, KB, and DRHorton. Probably in between Lennar and Toll Brothers.

Lot size is is 8400 square feet, at Freeman Farms in Gilbert.

Strangely, KB Home seems to dominate in New Mexico.

I went to their site and priced new homes. 3/2/2 1300 sf for 118K in Queen Creek. I think you could get the same thing that has barely been lived in, within five miles, for about half. New homes still have to appraise, and that might get interesting. KB was huge in the starter home market in California.

Our realtor told us to avoid Queen Creek due to traffic problems. Of course, she said Chandler is the most desirable, however, it is also the most expensive, so we went with Gilbert.

Andros, you and your family made a good decision. Some people just like to buy bargain basement - and sometimes that makes sense. But, in most cases, it's a HOME first. Bought sensibly, it's potentially an investment as well.

May you and your family have years of joy in your new home.

Good to hear!

FYI, we were also considering Shea Homes, however, they didn't have any spec homes available that met our needs; we would have had to wait to the end of the year to have our house built.

The style of home we went with is the Cayman of Fulton's Caribbean Series. We specified a few upgrades, such as granite countertops, stainless steel GE appliances with gas stove (does not include fridge), built-in living room speakers, and a water softener.
