Any practical priced awning companies out there that you've been happy with to be able to enjoy our AZ sunshine without being directly in the sun?

Wait for the home shows to start up again. There are always a ton of awning companies at those and they will usually have show specials. Easy way to do some comparative shopping quickly.

Default Not impressed w/home shows so far

I too thought this would be a great way to find some good home-type improvement companies but was very disappointed in the Spring one at the convention center in May, I believe. There was only one company that offered hard awnings.

If by hard you mean aluminum, the choice is very limited. Most awning companies that we have talked to don't offer them.

I personally think the best one to attend is at the fair grounds in Phoenix. It's usually held there twice a year and the next one is the weekend of Sept 30th

Default Pergola...not awning/Convention vendors the same?

Aluminum is where it's at for us....we catch way too much wind up here to even consider soft so...that would actually be a pergola...m-m-m, I better rephrase my question. The convention at the fairground--isn't that really the same vendors from the convention one?

Probably a lot of the same ones but I think it's one of the larger ones held, so maybe more to choose from?

Just an idea...

What about looking under modular mobile home awnings?

Many mobile home communities have awnings on this sized trailer, that sized carport, etcetera, and some company has to make/install/service those. Hard to imagine said company couldn't make whatever sized covering you wanted.

Edit: There is also aluminum covers awnings that might lead to a company.

Thanks AZPam and dura, I will contact some mobile home companies and consider giving the home show conventions another chance to impress me.
