The number of SUVs one sees on the road is directly proportional to the price of gas...not the amount of snow.

Stolen?? Are pickup trucks highly stolen in the Phoenix area?

Phoenix, no of course, but many people in Phoenix enjoy year round off road driving and winter recreation on our public lands so a SUV/4x4 is a popular choice.

Agreed but I'll take that one step further. This is also a telling sign of the quality of a neighborhood. It's a turn off for me if I drive through a neighborhood and you notice all the cars are parked outside and their garages are open revealing a weight lifting rack and a lot of useless junk.
