You have what are called cartridge filters. Those types of filters do not have a backwash assembly, so your only option of draining the pool is to rent a pump.

Shoot me a pm if you decide to drain the pool. I have a big pump that would empty the pool in a couple of hours.

I pay $75 a month and he comes weekly, he does a great job, my neighbor even commented on how nice and clean our pool always is.
