Hi Everyone!

Well, since 2006, we have lived in the Metro Atlanta GA area. We are originally from SoCal, and in fact, prior to moving back East, we had never lived outside of the West Coast. Anyhow.....

All of our family lives in SoCal/NoCal, and the cost of flying there each year is getting really expensive, not to mention not having that "connection" that you miss living on the other side of the country. Sooooo, we're looking at Tucson or Scottsdale as a possible transfer.

We have two little girls -- an eight year old and a four year old. Schools are, of course, of much importance for us, just like anyone else with school-aged kids. We're not sure which would be more adviseable -- Tucson or Scottsdale.

Can you all help us?

Thanks,

Elizabeth

as you can see by my "location" stamp, I'm familiar with both places....

if you need to work, are jobs (or a job) already assured in either place?....

there are excellent schools in both towns....you'll probably want to consider Scotts as just a part of "Phoenix" since there's little to mark the boundary between each and you'll move within the entire area almost daily....your chosen school(s) may not be in Scotts proper.....

have you visited each area already?....very important to get a "feel" for each town as they are very different from each other.....

take a look at the Tucson subforum, in addition to this Phx subforum, and see which of the other threads can help you more....lots of discussion already going on about the pros and cons of each place
