Take a look at the Thrift Stores in Sun City
You are the third person to say this (two people I work with also said it). Going to have to check it out. There is a huge Goodwill near the entrance of Sun City (on Bell Rd).

I'm an Ikea person myself but you're not going to get "great quality". I love their furniture, don't get me wrong, but they ain't gonna last for a super long time. You want a few "staples" in the house though that's "nice furniture". Just a piece or two can go a long way. Good luck and have fun!

They have another one that is crazy SLOW! It's up at 27th ave and Deer Valley. I don't think anyone knows about it yet. I found it and walked through, I was the only one there on a weekend. The one on Bell is a lot better though (bigger and easier to walk around).
I agree that J&K is a great place. Lots of cool stuff. Also check out Cupid's, right down the street. They have a lot of vendors they work with that allow you to customize tables, couches, etc. for very reasonable prices yet the stuff looks very custom made.
