My wife and I are considering living in Queen Creek in the Airport community. We are both over sixty and was wondering how are the taxes, do they have a program for reduced taxes for seniors and what is the state sales tax and income tax

What is the "Airport community"? Is it in Maricopa County or Pinal? There is a reduced property tax program for seniors in AZ and sales tax info can be found on the AZstate.gov website I think. Why in Queen Creek? Its pretty far out from the central Phoenix area. Need more info to help you.

There is no AZstate.gov, try az.gov. From what I was able to find out there is a program for freezing valuation on property if you are over 65 and have income below a certain threshold.

The OP may be referring to Pegasus Airpark (Circle G). It's in Maricopa County.

Where in "the central Phoenix area" do you recommend one go for a reasonably priced yet beautiful gated community, 1+ acre of land, your own private hangar AND equestrian lot? I think "Why in Queen Creek?" is pretty obvious. If you want an idea of what a home in there looks like, Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowedis just one listing.

So then, you think 2million plus is reasonably price ?? I question why the OP would even care about the state sales tax and senior exemption, if that's the area they are looking at.

I don't know if that's reasonably priced for what you'd be getting, because I'm not in the market for that kind of home. With a separate guest house, large plot of land, a hangar, etc., it very well might be. Regardless, I would venture to guess the equivalent in an area closer to central Phoenix would go for even more $.

As for the OP's questions, perhaps they are trying to narrow it down between several locations and are using taxes as one of their criteria? If the OP posts again, we may find out. My post was in response to what airport community, which county it's in, and "Why in Queen Creek?".
