Every once in a while, some East Valley politicians have proposed splitting the East Valley from Maricopa County, as I mentioned in a previous thread. I also heard in 1993 there was a proposal to move the East Valley to Pinal County.

So, I decided to make a poll. I am not saying it will happen, but in a hypothetical situation, what do you think the new county should be called?

I personally like Red Mountain County. That was one of the proposed names in the past, along with Rio Salado County.

Scottsdale would be confused since it's East Valley looking at a map.

Agreed - although I'll toss out "Superstition County" just to play along...

I actually like these kinds of threads, there fun!
I like Red Mountain county as well as Superstition county that Joe picked.
