I'm always inbetween PHX and NYC as i have a son there. I love the desert look of Phx but sometimes when im there too long i start missing the fresh feel and look of grass and trees. i know Az must have a couple of places that are greener then were i go. I was wondering if there was a term for it specialy for anyone who relocated there.

Go to the White Mountains, or Flagstaff, for starters. I'm not aware of any term to describe the missing of greenery.

I never really miss the green. It is different and eye-candy when I do go east. Really though, it becomes monotonous rather quickly and it blocks the views. The scenic view turnouts in the east often make me chuckle. Most of them are nothing but hazy views of distant trees. I'll take the rugged, exposed, southwest geology over the green anytime. When I'm driving back, I always feel better when I hit New Mexico and start seeing red cliffs and mountain ranges again.

I just call it "Springtime".

That means it's time for a trip to Sedona, Flagstaff, or St. George.

I get claustrophobic out east.....

greenery is nice once every few months for an hour or three, but I'm so grateful to be here....

don't know a term for missing greenery, but when you miss Arizona, you're a "desert rat"

I miss cutting the green stuff every week. Then collecting the green stuff in the fall when it turns brown and falls off the trees, or paying someone to do it for me. (sarcasm off)
Cultivating green grass and leaves was a cash business for me: I grew'em and paid someone else to take em away. (sarcasm off)

I miss the seasons. I miss rain on a regular basis. I do miss the green. However, I don't miss the cold or the snow.

In my perfect world I would live here Jan thru mid May, San Diego from May thru Sept and Chicago in Oct thru Dec. Just that taste of fall weather and cold for the holidays would be a enough for me! Maybe when I win Powerball of these times.
