Is the commute to and from Litchfield Park along I-10 from the downtown Phoenix area difficult in the morning and evening? How about the commute up and down the Loop 101 freeway from Litchfield Park to the northern parts of Phoenix and Scottsdale?

I-10 is a mess until Dysart - 10-15 mph, then wide open to about 83rd Ave and then 35 mph or so (stop and go) till you get downtown in rush hour. 101 is wide open until you make the bend near Bell Rd and then it comes to a near halt until you cross over I-17. Opposite going back. I-10 is OK on weekends usually once you get past Dysart while 101 can still be slow approaching I17 from the west. There is a widening project in the works that should eventually eliminate the bottleneck at Dysart. Traffic on either route is lighter in summer than in winter. Many times in summer, it is almost clear from Dysart all the way to about 35th Avenue where it slows going through the "tunnel:.

Default northern parkway

As far as east west travel goes, there is not much of it in the west valley.
however ADOT is planning to build what is called the "northern parkway" along northern ave. After talking to ADOT officials, they said that there will be just a few traffic signals along the route.
Here is my question?
Why the "ugly and annoying" traffic signals. There is plenty already.

But the number one gripe I have about this is that there is only one east/west freeway in the west valley. The fact that they are considering traffic signals along the new planned project, tells me that they are STUPID. Considering the mass of people and traffic around the cardnial stadium area and the phenominal growth, if they were to USE THEIR HEADS and turn northern into a "FULL FREEWAY" before the road gets cluttered with homes and businesses and pesky nimbys, then that will be a great reliver for people trying to get to points west and northwest.
