You are not kidding!! I opened my patio door and me and cat ran out and both didn't want to come back in. Then I jumped in my walking shoes and took a walk! It's glorious weather!! I LOVE it!!

I went bicycling earlier in the afternoon and it was great! Still warm, but not like I'm going to die. I just went outside and walked around. It's still 83 in Tempe and probably a few degrees warmer in my apt. complex, but you're not kidding... relief is on the way! This was my first year spending pretty much the whole summer here... and fortunately, it will probably be my last! The last several years I've been constantly changing my mind left and right if this is the right place for me or not... After going through this summer, I've decided to toss in the towel. There's a small probability I could move to Tucson next year, if I end up at a graduate program at UA, but Phoenix is now crossed off my list.

BTW, I took a day trip to Tucson exactly four weeks ago-- and the way the weather has been the last 3 days here is exactly how Tucson was a month ago. An entire month behind. At least we're caught up now. It's still hot, but now we should notice a cooling trend over the next month. Halleluyah!

Summer is over . It's going to be a looong cold winter. (It is really!) I'm twenty days away from a four day stay in a freezing hospital for a knee replacement, then in early November, going to Great Lakes, IL for my son's graduation from Navy boot camp. Can't wait to see how much cold my new artificial knee transfers into the bones-oh boy!

bigjdotcom01, sorry about the pool; (That must be like buying a new car then having to leave it in the garage for 6 months!) I got in mine for the last time yesterday, the water was down to 79 degrees.

I miss summer already...

Finally turned off the air conditioner last night. Went out on the walking trail at 5:00 a.m and it was absolutely delicious. This is why we are here!
