Woohoo! Got some pretty decent rain here in NW Phoenix (67th Ave & Happy Valley) though the rain gauge only registered .08", it looked like a lot more than that but now looking at the radar map, seems like Central Phoenix is getting absolutely hammered! Good to see!

The Flood Control District of Maricopa County shows 0.63" fell so far near the airport and as much as 0.83" near Scottsdale and Lincoln area.

Please send some to Michigan; we're having a Phoenix-like summer here. 100+ temps and no rain for almost a month. Grass is toast everywhere... it even hurts to walk on it.

I feel for you Michigan, lol, but It will be hard to share, we're dying of thirst here. I do hope you get some soon. I'll do my Valley of the Sun rain dance for ya.

We had a steady rumble and light show for quite a while, then the wind and driving rain. Noticed my car is steamed up from the inside...left the window cracked and right in the path of the wind

Woke up to my dog flying across the room, feet never touching the ground, right into our bed. Boy the lightning and thunder were awesome and loved the rain. It really cracked over our heads which rocks me to sleep. More coming tonight we hope.

very nice downpour that hit Surprise. Awesome light show. I read that a home burned in Sun City West due to a lightning strike.
