My husband may take a temporary consulting position at Palo Verde nuclear plant. Goodyear seems to be a logical place to live. Any suggestions on furnished short term rentals? Are we considering the right town? How far is it to the plant? Would Buckeye or Tonopah make more sense?

We would be moving from the Chicago suburbs, no kids, no pets, no smoking.

Thanks,

Sandy

Goodyear is the closest place that has real shopping and services. There is some of that now in the Buckeye area along I-10. Tonopah and Wintersburg are mostly mobiles on 1-40 acres parcels with no services except Tonopah Joe's rest area. I live in Estrella - a nice planned community in the south part of Goodyear. There are many, many people who live here that work at the plant. In the early days of Estella that was about all that lived here. They still have APS van pools that go back and forth from here.

There are rentals everywhere these days because houses aren't selling - probably mostly unfurnished. You could always rent a houseful of furniture too from several places.

I agree that Goodyear is the best of the places you mentioned.
