Good evening all. Done a lot of traveling and foresee some mechanical work needed in the near future. I live in Tempe but am open to any suggested shops in Scottsdale, Mesa or Chandler as well. Who do you know who charges you what is necessary and doesn't put you through the ringer ? Thanks a lot !

Gene's Auto Worx. I've only had maintenance work done there but it's always been a good experience and came highly recommended by a couple colleagues.

I use The Car Shop They are honest and have never tried to add on unnecessary work. I've been using them for over 5 years no problems.

Thank you for the quick responses guys. I foresee brake expenses and have coupons for places like Meineke for 50% off brake pads, etc. However, I never have trusted chain auto shops. I have AAA and don't even trust them taking care of members without hijacking them. Specifically the one out in Mesa near exit 185. Mom and Pops always served me well in the past and appreciate the feedback.

It's hard to point you any direction without knowing what brand of car you have.

I use Anywhere Auto Repair. His name is Brody, phone # 623-418-9706. He runs a mobile car repair, he comes right to your home and does the repairs there. He does pretty much everything. He does charge $89/hr, a little more than a shop but it's worth it to not have to wait at a shop while your car is being fixed. He came out to my place the same day when I called. I was happy with his service.

I'm another one for Gene's. Quick service, VERY reasonably priced, and owner on premises. They did the front brakes for my Kia Sedona for $150. They never try to convince us into "needing" anything else and they're good about explaining repairs.
