Greetings everyone,

We're going to be moving to AZ at the end of october and are looking at rental homes in Queen Creek and San Tan Valley. I have a long time friend that lives in STV and have been to his home during rush hour and I want to try to stay away from Hunt Highway if possible.Any info on homes in the How is the area around Ocotillio and Ironwood? Any specific developments that are must avoids? I will be working in Gilbert but my budget at the moment isn't allowing for anything over 1k monthly for rent. We just took a huge loss on our home here in St. Louis and will need about a year to recoupe our losses before we start looking to buy again. Thanks in advance for any information.

That's a good area that is growing like crazy! Depending on where you work in Gilbert, you can take side streets, or it's not too far to jump on the 60 freeway. Some nice subdivisions in that area are Pecan Creek, Castlegate, Ironwood Crossing, Laredo Ranch and Wayne Ranch.

Welcome!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be out there next week to search for a rental.

I live a few minutes south of Ocotillo and Ironwood. I work in Gilbert, right at Val Vista and 202. It takes me 30 minutes to get to work. It doesn't matter if I am working a 7-6 shift, or 8-5, it's always 30 minutes, and I like the consistency! The traffic is nothing compared to my old commute in... believe it or not.... Albuquerque!

I drive Rittenhouse to Power to Pecos, and Rittenhouse to Germann to Val Vista works for me as well. The traffic is nothing AT ALL to get worked up about!

The neighborhoods around Ocotillo and Ironwood are nice. Not a lot of retail in the area just yet, but the basics are close by.... Fry's grocers and Walmart, as well as some small restaurants. Queen Creek Marketplace (with most of your big box stores and several restaurants) is 10 minutes away.

Welcome to the area!

Just returned from my trip and found a nice place in QC. Just waiting to hear back on our application. T minus 35 days until our residency.
