I am looking for really good, authenic cannolis (not ones made from waffles, yuck) in the Phoenix area. Preferably in the Scottsdale area or East Valley but anywhere in the greater Phoenix area is fine. Thanks in advance!

My favorite in Phoenix is Romanelli's. They fill when ordered instead of pre-filling and sitting there while the shell gets soggy.

Ohh yum! Do they have a variety? Like the regular ones, chocolate, chocolate chip, pistachio, etc?

My wife makes her own filling, but when we lived in NE Phoenix we always bought the shells at Guido's at Scottsdale and Shea.

Spinato's pizza actually has really good cannolis...the filling has chocolate chips in it and they drizzle chocolate over the top. Since they are mainly a pizzeria they don't have different flavors, though

Ok, first I'll admit I've never eaten a cannoli until recently so I have no idea if what I'm about to recommend is actually a "good cannoli" but I ate at a greek place in Goodyear recently called Greek Gyro Express and they sell cannolis and I found I love the things. Some kind of custard with chocolate chips inside.

With my limited experience with cannolis I'd not drive from the east valley for these but those in the Goodyear area may try them. Would be interested to hear if they are in fact good cannolis. I'll have to search out some of the recommendations in this thread.

If Mike's Pastries in Boston ever open a cannoli franchise in Phoenix, I will die a happy man. I would die as a morbidly obese man, but a happy man.

OK, spill the beans on where you get your cannoli fix in the Phoenix area!
