I'm looking for a wedding photographer for March of '08. If anyone has used or knows of reputable company or individual here in the valley please let me know. Our photography budget is around $1800 if that helps.

Thank you in advance.

Wow, I'm thinking I should build a photography portfolio and do some weddings on the weekend! I'm no pro, so I'm not recommending myself for your wedding, but man, I so could do it with some more experience. Thanks for the idea, and I hope you find someone good. Check their references!

You could check with the local Professional Photographers Association.
Some of the camera stores could give you some leads on terrific photographers.
Also, you might find out if they have "masters" ratings with the PPA because it can take about 10 years of tough competition with your photos against those of other pros to earn enough points to be considered a master photographer.
