Moving our family to the phoenix area. 3 girls for which 2 are in school. Where is a good area to start looking for a good public school? One more question, where do I go for a bartenders certificate? OH and I can't wait to move back home and show my family just how beautiful it is...

Good schools are needles in haystacks. It can be a challenge to find a rental in these few areas, even WITH GOOD CREDIT AND EMPLOYMENT. What is your budget, how much space do you need. We often get posts (many from the Mid-West) from people with very unreasonable expectations. People commonly seeking 4/2/2 with a pool, and good schools for 1000 per month. Try doubling it, or start compromising.

GreatSchools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community is a good resource for finding quality schools.

As for good schools, I recommend the Chandler, Gilbert, Higley, or Kyrene districts.

We are looking for 3 bed 1 possible 2 bath and pool optional, have looked on craigslist and saw rent from 700 a month near Peoria. Is that unrealistic? We aren't fancy driven mid-western folks. Simple beautiful views of mountains and a fresh start is what we are looking for.

In Peoria, the Peoria and Deer Valley school districts are okay, however, I prefer the districts I mentioned in my previous post. You don't have to restrict yourself to Peoria or the West Valley; there are parts of south Gilbert that have a view of the SanTan Mountains (most notably Seville).

I don't think a decent rental home can be had for that price with 3 bedrooms. Also, CL is notorious for scams - people pretending to be the property owners but just taking your money and running. Best wishes on your search, and I hope you can find what you're looking for for that price.

Assuming you mean North Peoria since you want a mountain view and excellent schools. Add at least $500 to your expectation of rental price. Another $200 if you want a pool. An older, smaller, 3 bedroom home in south or central Peoria (no view of mountains, no pool, nothing special) will run you at least $1000.

This. ^^^^^^^^^^^

Sorry if this sounds rude, but it sounds a little irresponsible to be moving across the country, without jobs, with three kids, a limited budget, and so little knowledge of the area.

^^ IMO, before you are flamed. That is the kind of blunt honesty someone brainstorming ideas like this need.
