Typical alleyway in Eastlake Park Neighborhood. This is an alley between Monroe & Van Buren St's.

That's Willo -- Those condo's specifically are on the west side of Central Ave, between Encanto Blvd and Vernon Ave. The picture is looking northbound.

Hey, no cheating!

Just kidding but you oughta go take some pics of that area to share with everybody! Google streetview is a very cool feature, but is nowhere near as awe-inspiring as a real photograph...

Yes, that is the Central/Encanto metro stop. It's technically not Willo, as the boundary is 1st Ave. and the condo complex (Tapestry) is not part of the district.

I guess that area could be called midtown Phoenix, right?

Agreed. GE is good if you need to show a quick reference. A real photo is the money maker.

I recognized the area from riding the LR up to a friend's place in Phoenix (as well as up to George and Dragon, for some great British food). I know it's near Willo -- didn't know the official "boundary" was 1st Ave, though. Also didn't know the name of the condo's offhand. Thanks for the added info!

I'd love to go and take real photos, but I'm stuck down in Sierra Vista for the time being. Guess I'll have to contribute some other time. I might be able to dig up some older photos I've taken in and around the Valley, though...
