Went to the arena last night for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Not the dirty, stinky, smoke filled puke fest with horrible food that I remember at concerts of my youth, it was really very nice, decent, no great food as arena's go but of course at venue prices.
What topped it off is the WHO were AMAZING! Roger still has the pipes and Peter Townsend can really lay it down.
What a great concert, glad I got to see them before they quit touring.

Sounds like it was a great concert! I probably should've gone because the older I get the more nostalgic with all that great music from the 60s and 70s.

It's a really nice venue- I don't get out that way much, but I did go to see Stevie Wonder there a few years back and apart from it being an AMAZING show, the facility itself was very clean and easy to get in and out of.

I went too, and it was my first time in the arena as well! A friend of mine manages the food/beverage services there, and not only did he get us free tickets, but VIP treatment in the lounge as well. Sweet deal. Only drawback was the seats were so far from the stage - could barely make out the band. I was stoked the whole night, though.

That is only the second concert I've been to in Phoenix. The first was back in '96, and guess who it was? The Who's original comeback Quadrophenia tour! I thought they were old then - but man, they still got it!
