Hi all. I currently live in Ohio. My roommate and I, both seniors are looking for an affordable, wheelchair accessible apartment. I need a door width of 35" for all doors in apt., including bedroom and bathroom. We would prefer a senior complex but open to anything in the general phoenix and surrounding areas. The only thing we have found is Phoenix Manor at 2636 N.41st. Ave., which looks to be Maryvale area. From what I've read, that's not a safe area. We need 2bd. and prefer 2ba.in the Max.$800 price range; higher if some utilities are included. Area doesn't matter as long as it's safe. We do have a small dog and cat. We have been wanting to relocate to Arizona for over a year and this is the only thing holding us back! We love the sun and Cleveland doesn't see much of it. Please, can anyone help?

There is a complex in Tempe that is for folks in wheelchairs and you will see a lot in the area. The major cross streets are near Mill and Broadway exact will be Mill and Broadmor. I believe it is called Tempe Apts but I could be wrong.
