Anyone familiar with any after-school activities sports or vocational for teenagers in the Litchfield Park area? The YMCA does have a sports league that we are considering. It's a bit pricey though (for two).

The city of Goodyear has a very good activity program. We get a city magazine each month which lists programs (sports, dance, martial arts, crafts, etc.) for all ages. There is always a price for city residents and a price for non city residents so that may be an option for you since Goodyear is so close to Litchfield Park.

Litchfield Park doesn't offer a ton itself and of the local cities it probably has the most convuluted way of registering ... appears to be mainly tennis or swimming there with baseball

Here is the recreation catalog for the City of Goodyear

Avondale has a lot of really good offerings as well - both through the city and the library - you can see their offerings in the Rave publication - recreation to the back ... they do have specific teen workshops and other things as well
Avondale AZ - Official Website - View RAVE Magazine Online Now

The Maricopa County Library system offers a few things as well

Here is a page for teens:

For kids:

For the LP branch:

There are also private dance studios, martial arts programs, the Y and all of that stuff as well

thanks ibarrio

I've been to the park a few times, but didn't know about the rec center there and the activities .... it's a huge park, but this looks like a nice facility ... especially if you have school aged kids
