After almost a year of looking and 6 trips to Phoenix we finally settled on an area that we believe will suit us best and help family flourish. Arrowhead in Glendale. Great schools, beautiful homes and down to earth people.

Beautiful safe area - lot's of amenities and no more than 20-30 minutes from everything....at least the way I drive

I don't know what part of Glendale your friend lives in but the Arrowhead area of Glendale is not like the run down areas further south.

On the flip side, Mesa has many wonderful areas as well. Glendale's crown jewel is the Arrowhead region and it flows into some other nice parts on the west side.
