One thing you will find with the LDS population in AZ is there are a lot of Utah Mormons that are here mixed in with AZ Mormons. If you are used to Idaho Mormons (a bit more straight edge than CA Mormons but not quite of the Utahian variety) you may find if you move into a predominantly Mormon neighborhood that they will be nice to you but you may not get invited to EVERY function. If you don't want a large concentration, don't move around any of the Temples (I guess homes around the Gilbert Temple are going like hot cakes) and watch the concentration of Ward Buildings. For the most part you shouldn't have any issues, Mormons tend to be warm, caring, family oriented folk (I grew up in the Church but am not a member any longer) but unless you are a Member you are not on the "inside" (of course you probably already know that coming from Idaho). When we lived in Boise when I was a kid, we associated with everyone but with Scouting and Mutual some of our friends felt "excluded".
