Phoenix is huge. The city itself, not counting suburbs, is 500 square miles in size. Can you therefore be more specific about where you'll be staying (general area, not exact address), your price range, and the types of food you enjoy?

The Salt Cellar - DAMN GOOD seafood. We spent abour $120 but it was worth it! It's in east Phoenix, Scottsdale maybe?

Southern end of Scottsdale, just north of the border with Tempe.

Sapporos is good, as is Black Angus. The Horny Toad is a laid-back cowboy joint, but they have stellar fried chicken! lol If you want a western style steakhouse, check out the Pinnacle Peak Patio.

Was just at Sapporo last night. One of my favorite places in Phoenix.

My husband and I love Durant's at Central and Virginia. It's been there for ages and still a great pace. A bit pricey though but no more than Morton's or Capital Grill.

Durant's - Yum. Impeccable service and great local history.Try the Durrant "scraps" as an appetizer.

For breakfast burritos - Carolina's at 12th Street/Mohave, just south of Downtown. Not an especially stellar neighborhood but the food is great. Order the charizo, egg and potatoe breakfast burrito. Killer salsa and great folks.

If you can finish it you won't eat for the remainder of the day.
