Hey everyone!

My family is moving to the Surprise area (or somewhere nearby) in early July. We are coming from MN and have spend 4 years in Anthem/Tramonto prior. I'll be working with Glendale Elem School District and my wife will probably choose Dysart in Surprise. We aren't familiar with the neighborhoods, at all, on the west side. So, we are planning to grab an apartment and look for the perfect neighborhood and the right house over the next several months. What are your thoughts on apartments? I'd also welcome feedback on Surprise neighborhoods, working for the school districts mentioned (or any districts for that matter - we have our choice basically), etc. However, the first step is choosing our districts and the 2nd is finding an apartment. We have one child and will probably bring 1 of our 3 dogs. We LOVE parks and walking trails and like to be within walking distance of stores and restaurants. We are basically looking for the nicest apartment complex with the most amenities in the best location. I know that's a lot to ask for, but it seems like the Residences at Stadium Park might be the ticket. It looks nearly perfect in terms of location, amenities, being close to Surprise Park, dog friendly, etc.

Thank you everyone for helping us out. Every piece of information makes our life a little easier

Good location. Tons of events at the stadium/park. Restaurants are not exactly across the street but are walkable if you do not mind a mile or two.

The park directly across the street is 8 acres and is filled with kids playing soccer, baseball, and flag football. The "downtown" complex includes the stadium, spring training for Rangers and Royals, youth baseball fields, tennis courts, park, urban lake, library, dog park, city hall, city court, and communiversity. There is also a post office, fire station, High school (Valley Vista), and elementary school (Parkview).
