My husband and I are narrowing down our house search zone to Glendale and Northern Peoria. For Glendale, I must stay in zip codes 85301 through 85308 because I must use their ADA Dial-A-Ride. I spoke to a worker there and she advised me to stay in those zip codes. (I may be able to go about 3/4 mile south and north of them). My husband and I love the desert landscape, but it appears the yards in Glendale might have the green grass. Do you know if most homes in Glendale have green lawns, or do many also have the desert non-green lawn? We found some in Peoria with the desert lawn, but have not yet seen any in the Glendale area in our searches. Thanks very much.

You'll find both in Glendale, perhaps more grass in some of the older neighborhoods. Once you get out here and are in some temporary housing (extended stay motel) , you will be able to get a better feel for what your options are. Again, you really should rent first, as unfamiliar as you are with the area.
