Good day good people.

We will be moving from Europe to Phoenix in October. There are plenty Apartment Complexes in the Chandler / Gilbert area they look like a good rental solution for a start. We would like to rent 2BR for 800-1000$/month for the first period 3-6 months, until we figure things out.
Can you recommend a quiet, family oriented Apartment Complex with nice yard / pool where our children 6 and 4.5 can play, close to a primary school, maybe park, situated with nice connection to a freeway since we do not have job sorted yet and possible close to shopping mall? Tempe area is not excluded, just not the part where the students live.

I tried to contact few Apartment Complexes regarding some questions that I have through the contact forms but in a week I have received an answer from none.
If anyone has an experience with this type of renting, can you please advise are the utilities usually included in the rent price?
On the ads I see that apartments are furnished but are they in reality or tenants should bring furniture?
Is there cleaning provided at certain period like in a hotel or tenants are responsible for the hygiene? Linen, towels?
Thank you ~

Unfurnished apartments are more common than furnished ones. If the ad says an apartment is furnished, it probably is. It is easy to find good used furniture from private parties selling it.

Electricity is usually not included; water often is.

Apartments are not like hotels, you have to do your own cleaning/laundry and provide your own linens and towels.

There are many nice apartment complexes in Chandler, Gilbert and the more southern part of Tempe away from the campus. As far as specific names and recommendations, I'll leave that to people who are more familiar with them.

Be prepared to pay significantly more for a lease term less than one year. You MIGHT do better negotiating with someone on Vrbo.com.

Good luck!
