Do you think something like this could work out here to alleviate the housing shortage and astronomical rise in prices?

It might for a while, but so-called affordable housing always turns to ghetto in Phoenix within five years or so because of the never-ending stream of immigrants and low paying job economy. Just look at all the JF Long housing in west Phoenix. It was the affordable solution to high interest rates in the 80s.

While I agree, I think the location of it matters more. I don't think something like this near Old Town or DT Tempe would turn into a ghetto. Hell, even by DT Gilbert or Chandler would bring in young professionals who maybe don't want to rent, but also can't afford a more traditional home.

South Park Cottages?

Wasn't this the type of thing that would have been in HB2570 that Hobbs just vetoed?

I would say this is light years away from a trailer park.

I am not sure how this is any different than a modern-day manufactured home park. We have had them in Phoenix longer than I have been alive. These are just modern modular homes.

I've been watching bits and pieces of the tiny home "movement" for a number of years.

The ones set up in tiny home communities seem to do well. We have a couple in WNC. Lots of retired teachers and so forth. No word yet on any of them turning into ghettos.
