Hi Everyone,

I love reading this forum. I have posted one time and was thankful for the number of useful and helpful responses I received. Thank You!

I am purchasing my first home, so I don't have a lot of funds. I have read all the forum on Queen Creek and pros/cons of QC(Pinal County). I am looking for a "city" type feel, and in a "nice" community. I work in Pinal County(for now), was looking in Chandler/Gilbert, but I have a $150k price limit. So there's not many options there. Don't want to live anywhere driving up and down Hunt Hwy.

I have found a new community going up on Ironwood/Ocotillo called Ironwood Crossing by Fulton. It looks a little deserted and abbandoned. It just opened and I see a lot of potential. Granted Futon fixed all of his financial troubles and more people decide to buy there. Don't know how long that would take, but willing to stay a few years to find out!

Please let me know how safe the area is. If anyone lives there likes/dislikes. What is going on with Johnson Utilites spillage (just happened in Apr. ) Hopefully, that is all cleaned up. I don't believe EPA will allow him to do this constantly, Righ??

Well my home will be complete in Oct/Nov. I know there isn't an aquatics center yet, but the homes I seen in the surrounding communities did not have pools and the price per sq. ft was a lot higher. I just loved the Fulton home plan and if there is an aquatic center built in the future it would just be icing on the cake. Well I live in a rural area right now, and I pay a private water company $100 a month for sewer/water and the town $20 for trash with $80 hoa fees. So the $118 hoa at Fulton is a good deal! It includes basic cable, trash and sewer. I am sure it will go up some when the aquatics center is complete.

I'm less than a mile from the development. The area has got much more livable recently, new shopping, Ironwood construction finished. According to H20 Water Company They will be the water service for Ironwood Crossing. We also have H2O service and don't have any of the trouble that Johnson customers have. Our bill runs $ 20 a month for two adults and two cats. Recently I've noticed about 12 houses starting construction. Good luck with Your decision.

We had about the same type of budget for a home as you have. We also have two little ones and had looked all over Queen Creek for a home. We ended up purchasing in Skyline Ranch, from Taylor Morrison. Our house will be completed next month. They had some good deals there, and the school is only a few blocks from our house. Just another area for you to look at if you want to...

We ended up purchasing the Tahaa model. What model did you get? I really loved the panormus. Our home is supposed to be completed before Nov. But last week I passed by and nothing, I am starting to get frustrated. So how far along is your home??

I am happy I won't by paying Johnson's Utilities $100 every month. Someone posted it might be around $20 This month my electric bill was $220 so I hope it will not be more than that.

OH YEAH, AND THE SALESPERSON SAID THEY WERE GOING TO PROPOSE THE WATER PARK TO THE BOARD AS SOON AS THEY CLOSED ON 100 HOMES. YESTERDAY I CHECKED AND THEY HAD SOLD 101!

TIFF116, I found this house doing an MLS search, looks beautiful and is in Gilbert close to the 202. I don't know if this is something you've considered.
4 bedrooms 3.5 baths, 2,000+ sq ft $149,000
