We are a young family (2 & 4 year old kids), relocating from New Jersey to the Phoenix area. Looking for some information on nice/safe places to live with good schools not far from work which is at Honeywell's Sky Harbor location in Phoenix. I've already looked at Chandler, Gilbert and Ahwatukee as potential relocation spots, but wanted to know if there are other areas that I should be looking at. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Add south Tempe, and you have hit all the nice convenient areas to that side of the airport. Any of those would work. You could go into east Phoenix, but you will find more consistently nice neighborhoods and schools in the areas already mentioned.

Thanks. We are planning on renting at least for the first year, but wanted to rent in the area that we would potentially buy in. I kept seeing places on Zillow Rentals in Tempe, but don't really know too much about the area. Any specific Tempe zip codes to look at in particular?
