2 of them in Silverleaf in North Scottsdale, the rest in Paradise Valley. Nice to see how the other half lives

I saw this when it first aired and honestly I would be a bit peeved if the Fox news chopper was hovering over my house so that everyone could gawk at my lazy river during the six o-clock news. The homes were all really nice and although large were nothing special, I would have expected some more unique architecture and totally over-the-top landscaping. I do like that circular-themed property and the #1 home, though.

Wanted to share, I saw this estate in Silverleaf just hit the market today. It was #10 on this list and they are asking $32M! See the rest of the pictures here 10696 E WINGSPAN Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85255 | MLS# 5053072 | Redfin

If those are too rich for your blood & you're in the market, maybe this smaller, less expensive one would work...

You could have an incredible oceanfront house in Malibu for the price of these. Craziness!

Maybe I am different. I really have no desire to have a compound. It would be fun to visit for a weekend and that's about it. To me at least, it's kind of disgusting to over consume to that level. The simpler (within reason) the better.

I've been in countless multi-million dollar homes. Most of them don't feel like a home to me. The most expensive was $22M. 13,000 square foot in the Hampton's on the water and they tore down a $5M place. How many (incredible) bathrooms do you need for a couple and 2 grown children?

property taxes alone on that Wingspan house are $87k/year!....add in regular monthly expenses, utilities, gardeners, insurance, etc., and it's a stunning amount of costs to own a place like this.....

as MN says, it'd be interesting to visit/rent for a weekend, but the unnecessary drag of the costs would get me down after a while, even if I was a multi-bazillionaire....I have to wonder why these supposedly smart people do this....are they so insecure that they need to show off in such a flashy way?......the oft-used excuse that they "entertain a lot" seems shallow and lame....I certainly admire the occasional billionaire we hear about who wears jeans and a t-shirt and drives a 20 year old truck.....that guy is secure!!

I guess it's nothing new since the robber barons of the 19th century were doing it....
