Hi!

I am looking at transferring next year with my company, Progressive
Insurance, location of 4425 E Cotton Center Blvd, zip of 85040 which I understand is within the Phoenix city limits, but on the Tempe border.
I would like to rent an apartment as close to work as possible. Currently in a nice suburb of Cleveland, I pay 750 for a 2 bedroom. I would like to keep, if possible the price around there or less, and I realize this may mean having a one bedroom. If anyone has any suggestions, comment or info it is greatly appreciated. If you have names of specific apartments that would be great too!
FYI, I am a 53 year old white male. Not looking to " party all night long " and not wanting neighbors that do!
This is a great board I appreicate all the help so far! Looking forward to living in the Valley of the Sun, as here in the Shadow of the Great Lake Erie, the ground is now snow covered!

To be completely honest, Progressive is in the hood. I used to have a friend who lived less than a mile from that building and late-night gunshots were a fairly common occurrence. Not to mention the "condos of death" on 48th and Broadway which were the area's regional drug hub.

I'd look for a place on the other side of South Mountain in Ahwatukee. You'll be able to find a reasonable place for a reasonable price and you could make the commute in about 12 minutes without getting on the freeway. Otherwise, there are some OK apartment complexes along Baseline on the East side of I-10.

If you go North or West from your work location, you'll go miles and miles before you find anything livable.
