Which route would you prefer if this actually happens?

There is no option for none of the above. Last thing anybody needs to be wasting tax money on is a train to Tucson.

They have Greyhound Bus service. It will be nice if they get Megabus also. Public opinion is against Rail Transport in this country.

It's very hard getting around Phx/Tuc without a car, you will need to rent a car if you use the train. This wipes out any benefit you may have.

Its not greyhound they have to compete with, its Interstate 10.

It is 2014, people prefer to travel by car.

All of the above responses. This is a non-starter, IMO.

I guess I am alone on this one. I like the idea. Phoenix to Tucson rail would also provide commuter rail for the east valley (if the orange or yellow routes are chosen) and connect Sky Harbor to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway. Rail increase across the country has been on the increase in recent years.

this idea has been thrown around for decades....new "studies" come out periodically.....as said, it's just too expensive and not enough demand exists....would be cool to hop on a train, but it's just not practical in the low-density West

here's the only train station Phoenix will ever have.....40 miles from downtown

None of the above. If we have money to spend it should be spent widening the remaining 2(4) lane stretches of I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix to 3/6. With all the truck and RV traffic, those sections cause backups and driver frustration.
