Why are you afraid the Mexicans will get you and force you to eat tacos rice and beans?

And how do you know those people weren't Chicano??? American born...hello.

It's not very often that you see anglo's buying polka CD's, or Yanni, and taking it to picnics...mostly they purchase country (originated by slaves), Rock (also stolen from black artists), or hip hop. Give me a break. This isn't Mexico that's true, but Mexicans dominate this state, and so does our culture. But unlike you, we're willing to share. Ahooaah!!!

Papago Park is not anything like a city park, it is one of the many "reserve" type parks in Arizona. I would love to see strips of park invested into downtown before it becomes too expensive. But as far a the central park comparison, there is no such thing in Phoenix.

Encanto would actually be more of the Central Park type (there's GRASS) but there really isn't a comparison.

Papago Park POW prisoner of war camp in Phoenix Arizona

wow!!!....here's an excellent website with extensive history of the POW camp and Papago Park....scroll all the way down to the links at the bottom....

great map showing the old camp plan superimposed on a modern-day aerial shot....it covered much more than just what is today's eastern part of the park.....homes and car dealers are on top of the old camp today
